Training for total devotion: emotionality and narrativity in Deuteronomy

This article analyses ideals of total devotion in the Hebrew Bible, concentrating on book Deuteronomy. Understanding as an intense, emotional, and relationship between a god worshippers, analysis spotlights Deuteronomy 6–7, investigating emotion expressions used relation deity Israel, their narrative embedding, how narrativity stimulates sustains emotions.
